Don’t go near that mall, Americans (and non-Americans)! Waste time on the internet instead!

The Wiener Volksoper has revived Stefan Herheim’s 2004 production of Madama Butterfly. Here’s a review by the Zwölftöner. (Bachtrack)

Arte Live Web is streaming the Bolshoi’s grand reopening production of Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila, conducted by Vladimir Jurowski and directed by Dmitri Tcherniakov.   1. "Don't go near that mall," she says. I'd rather wait in line for standing room tickets at 30 Euro, for a poorly cast, repertory Boheme at the Staatsoper. In freezing sleet.

    Fortunately there are some fine football games on the tevee in the course of watching which one can waste time on the internet. And Zerbinetta's contributions to the latter are appreciated.
